Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital is a Residential Public School for boys in India that opened in July 1947. The School is the product of the vision of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, an Indian independence activist.
The
Birla Vidya Mandir School begins for students who want to study in Class 4th
till Class 12th. Though being an English medium School, the teachers are
referred to as ‘Guruji’ and ‘Didiji’. Prayers in Sanskrit are held before every

Admission in
Birla Vidya Mandir Nainital
Admissions
in Birla Vidya Mandir School depends on the vacancies of seats from classes IV
to IX and XI (as boarder only) for the session commencing from March, is
granted on the basis of an admission test-cum-interview, held at the
different centres in India.
No
admissions are made to classes X and XII. Provisional admission to the class XI
is made on the basis of Pre-Board result of the new entrant, which is confirmed
only after the Board’s result.
The
admission of a boy is valid only up to class X and for class XI he will have to
seek fresh admission, which is selective and subject to the discretion of the
principal. It will depend on the general conduct and performance of the boy
during his stay in the School.

School
The
School is situated 330 km to the north east of Delhi in the Central Himalayan
township of Nainital. Its campus is 65 acres in area set at the top of a
ridge, called “Sher-Ka-Danda” overlooking the lake, 1,500 feet (460 m) above
the town and 7,800 feet (2,400 m) above sea level. It is well connected by a
drivable road from Tallital and Mallital of Nainital.
