Sri Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2015 Opening Date & details

Sri Kedarnath Dham Yatra is one of the famous and holy tours in Uttarakhand as well as India. Kedarnath is a Hindu holy town located in the Himalayas, about 3584m above sea level near the head of river Mandakini , and is flanked by breathtaking snow-capped peaks.  The temple is open only between the end of April to Kartik Purnima.

Mussoorie

Mussoorie is a wonderful hill station in Uttarakhand situated at a height of 2005mts above the sea level. It is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and is known as the Queen of the Hills. 

Mussoorie derives its name from the plants of Mussoorie or shrub mansoor which are available in large quantities in this region. The history of Mussoorie dates back to 1825 when a shooting lodge was constructed jointly by Captain Young, an adventurous British military officer and Mr Shore the Superintendent of Revenues at Dehradun.

Ranikhet

The charming hill station of Ranikhet is located in the Almora district of Uttarakhand at an elevation of 1,829mts above sea level. Ranikhet has everything to pacify the nerves of an avid city dweller.

Kausani

Originally known as Valna, Kausani is a famous hill resort in Uttarakhand providing an excellent view of the 350km stretch of the Himalayas on a clear sky.. Kausani hill station is located at altitude of 1890 mts above the sea level and is a celebrated site for its panoramic exquisiteness and views of enchanting Himalayas. Nature has bestowed Kausani with its beauty to make it a destination par-excellence level.

Nainital
